An Ode to the Roadtrip

Mr. Kerouac, we concur.

Road trip season is ON.

A car full of gear, good people next to you, and miles of open road ahead of you. The windows come down and the tunes go up. Things get a little looser as freedom takes the front seat.

We all know road trips rule, but the best ones follow a few unwritten rules: 

☐ Take a gravel road you've never been down before.

☐ Eat at a greasy diner in a town you know nothing about.

☐ Buy fresh fruit from a roadside stand.

☐ Find the best lemon meringue pie you can.

☐ Burn the marshmallow. Eat it anyway.

☐ Swim whenever you get the chance.

☐ Delete the reservation. Wild camp instead.

☐ Sleep under the stars. (no shelter allowed) 

☐ Wake up for sunrise at least once.

☐ Stay up late.

☐ Drink more cowboy coffee than you should.

☐ Create a camp cocktail to rule them all.
